If the game shows Matchup unavailable, cannot build cards, or stalls after a reveal, work down this checklist. Stop as soon as the next matchup appears. Clearing browser data is a last resort because it can remove local identity, settings, and saved bests.
Safe troubleshooting order
When Retry keeps returning the same error
Wait a short moment before retrying again, especially around a Daily reset. Repeated rapid taps do not repair a failed data request. Confirm that other pages load, then close duplicate Rule34dle tabs and reopen one clean tab.
Blank art but readable cards
If names and buttons work but an image is missing, the comparison may still be playable. Refresh once. Build 1.9 moved character artwork into the local game bundle, so a persistently missing asset can point to an old cached page or an incomplete load.
Mobile-specific checks
Return the browser zoom to a comfortable default, rotate back to portrait if cards are clipped, and ensure the page is not opened inside a restrictive in-app browser. A normal browser tab generally gives storage and touch controls more predictable behavior.
Before clearing site data
Write down your player name and any personal-best information you care about. Site-data removal may generate a new anonymous identity and restore default switches. It cannot be relied on to repair a server-side outage, so use it only after the earlier checks fail.
